The 5th Annual Sun and Fun! festival was Saturday, August 24th. It began as a celebration of the instillation of solar panels on the church and it has become a popular community event built around sustainability and the environment. In 2018, it was nationally recognized as winner of the community inspiration category, ‘Cool Congregation,’ by Interfaith Power and Light.  Sadly, since 2020 we have had to cancel our festival, out of concern for the community and our volunteers during the COVID pandemic. We are hoping to return as soon as it is deemed safe to do so.

Eaarth Advocates

The UCC and Eaarth* Advocates are passionate about all of God's creation, working to  preserve it and combat climate change. Each year we hold Sun and Fun! environmental festival (see left page).

The UCC  has a dedicated environmental justice website and blog "The Pollinator", for the sharing of ideas and inspiration. Its focus is the building of a faith-filled and faith-rooted movement for the care of creation. To learn more about the UCC environmental ministries or to read the Pollinator blog, click here

*Eaarth refers to a book by  environmental activist Bill McKibbon Eaarth, where he states the Earth as we know it has died, and we must find ways to live in this new 'Eaarth'.
